During the operation of the wheel, the main contact part between the wheel tread and the top surface of the rail is the 1/20 slope range, and the 1/10 slope tread only contacts the rail top on a small radius curve.

Since the main contact part between the wheel tread and the top surface of the rail is a slope of 1/20, in order to force the axis of the rail, the rail also has an inward inclination, so there must be a slope at the bottom of the rail, that is, the bottom slope of the rail.
